Sunday Afternoon is put to Good Use

The Cutters got stuck in the tree. Alan trying to figure out how he
is going to get the rope over the tree limb.

Alan on roof, up in the trees. Alan cutting up the BIG limb we took down.

Our neighbors had Tiny Tim's Trees Service come and cut there trees. Well they decided to cut all but the one that is on our roof. How nice right! So I decided to take care of it myself (with Alan's help.) We started out on the roof trying to get all we could reach. I would pull on the branch and Alan would cut it. Then we used the ladder, that worked well. Alan got the bright idea of using a rope to pull down the branches. This worked for the first one then we moved the rope higher so we could reach more. Well then Alan asked me to grab the rope (note I am on the ladder, I was cutting the branches) so I did as I tryed to get off the ladder the branch kinda just made it like a bungee, just bouncing up and down OFF THE GROUND. Not so much fun. But anyway we got as much of that one as we could. On to the next. Alan started pulling on it so I could cut it and snap this large branch snapped 1/2 the way though. We tryed and tryed pulling to brake the other 1/2. That did not work. Alan got the Durango. Remember it has rained for the past 2 day!! The back tire spun a few times and crack it came down. Woooohoooo!!! {sorry for that} I think it was a very successful day.

A Wonderful Weekend with Jackson!

Josh and Sharla had a wedding to attend in Raleigh, NC, so we got Jackson for the weekend!!! I picked Jackson up on Friday afternoon and he was picked up Sunday afternoon. Friday night we went and grabbed a bite to eat. When we got home it was night night time for Jackson. He went down great, we all (Alan included) read a book and then rocked for a few minuets. Harrison (Alan's best friend) was in town to sing in a wedding so he come over to hang out for a while. The boys went and got Dairy Queen. Ummm! It was so delicious.

Saturday
morning at about 8:20 I went and woke Jackson up because I was ready for him to get up and play and so he was not off schedule to much. Then the craziness started. Mom called and let us know that there was a rabies clinic in Gastona but did not know for how long. So there we went off to see the vet, it was the fastest thing ever. You pulled up Alan gave the info the vets gave the shots. I don't think we were there more then 5 mins. Well the place just happened to be close to mom and dads so we stopped by for a visit. They wanted to see Jackson and there grand puppies. Of course Jackson was the hit of the party. He was so happy and friendly! We just hung out at our house for the rest of the afternoon. Sharla had told me that Saturday night was bath night. Not so easy with out a baby tub. She had suggested to use the sink. Well as most know Jackson is not the smallest baby, so he did not have much room. But we got the job done, and down for bed he went. Then it all started. I had been telling Alan about the leak under the sink but he just puttin it aside and puttin it aside until he seen how much it was leaking (just happened to be the weekend we had Jackson.) He had to run to Lowe's at like 9 O'clock to get a piece of pipe that was broken. Then he realized the sink was moving, they never put silicone under it. There was nastiness under the lip of the sink. EWWW! Finally we finished that unexpected project. Time for bed right? Nope Alan had let the dogs in and we realized Jack had blood on him towel and legs. Alan forgetting he had set the Alan opened the door. OMG!!! The siren wen off!! But anyway we need did find what had happened to Jack. We did not get to bed till 12. What a long day.

Sunday morning was a breeze. Me and Jackson went to Sunday school (this is my month for nursery.) When was got home a feed Jackson and
then Josh and Sharla were here. Having Jackson the whole weekend was not as hard as I expected. It was really fun.

I got to keep my nephew Jackson today!!

I was so excited when Lynn (Alan's mom, she normal keeps Jackson) asked me to keep him for today. He is just the sweetest thing. We did not get to do much because it was so nasty outside. We did make a quick trip to Target. Target had send me a card saying if you make a baby registry you get a $20 gift card. So last night Alan made a registry (although she did not even ask for the registry), and poof a gift card. But back to Jackson. We just hung out at the house and played all day. Look how innocent he is. It is so funny to see Mazzy and him play. He thinks she is just the funniest thing. I will have to get a picture of them next time he is here.

Our Dogs

About our 3 lovely dogs. First we got Jack (on the left) in the middle of August 2007. He is a Blue Tick / Jack Russell Terrier mix and will be 2yrs old in November. He is the most laid back of the bunch. Then there is Janie (on the right) who was given to Alan for Christmas from my parents. She is a Vizsla / Black Lab mix and she will be 1yr old in November. Her Bark is so deep, like a hound dog. Last but not least there is Mazzy (middle) a Chihuahua. The youngest of them a 6 months old. She gets these running spurts back and forth from the living room and our bed room.

Just Us

Well everyone is blogging now, sooo I figured why not. I don't have much to talk about right now but maybe one day so I will..
